We recently manufactured the NO. 618 Nose Gear Upper Drag Strut for the Falco F8-L, a component of the nose landing gear responsible for longitudinal load transfer and overall system stability.

While simple in geometry, it plays a relevant structural role, especially during landing and taxi operations.

From drawing to part

Production started from the original drawing, focusing on:

  • dimensional accuracy and tolerances

  • material selection

  • machining quality

Even for components like this, details matter: radii, surfaces and fits must be properly controlled to avoid stress concentrations and ensure correct installation.

Manufacturing

The part was produced using:

  • CNC machining

  • dimensional inspection

  • proper edge and surface finishing

The goal is to deliver a component consistent with the original design and suitable for aeronautical use.

Applications

This type of work is part of our activities in:

  • aircraft restoration

  • manufacturing from drawings

  • structural assembly rebuilds
